Advice for prospective teams.

Have at least 8 team members to call on to cope with illness, holidays and other commitments. Up to 10 is better if possible.

There are two divisions “A” and “B” Each consisting of a maximum of 16 teams

The season begins in early September and finishes with a “Finals Night” in April

During the season a series of “Knockout” games are arranged for teams, gents and ladies pairs and a captains game. The finals of each contest are played on “Finals Night” and trophies are awarded to the champions and runners up of each division of league

At the end of the season the three leading teams in the B division are promoted to the A division and the three bottom teams in the A division are relegated to the B division.

Matches take place on a Monday evening starting at 8:30pm, each team playing a home and away match.

Teams consist of 3 pairs of players each playing three games.

Pubs and Clubs within Teesdale District that have an interest in forming a team should contact the secretary James Dykes or present their application at the AGM which is in mid August and is announced in the Teesdale Mercury
